Congratulations to the Phoenix Robotics Team!
The robotics team members have been competing in the Greenville VEX robotics league for the past three weeks. Last night was the elimination tournament that concluded the tournament.
One of our robots, team 1604M, was part of the alliance that took home the tournament championship! They began as the number two seeded alliance and continued all the way to the finals where they eliminated the number one seeded robots to bring home the championship trophy! The tournament consisted of 29 robots. Team 1604M has now qualified for the state robotics competition which will take place in February.
Our second robot, team 1604, was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the tournament but were awarded the Driver Skill Challenge Finalist award for competing the driver skills event, which took place on Monday, in second place.
The next competition will take place on Saturday November 8 at the Prosper High School.
Great Job Firebirds!
